ABOUT JAZZ SYNDICATE
Jazz Syndicate is a research portal and digital archive providing free public access to the University of North Texas’ legendary collection of jazz history. As America’s first Jazz Studies program (est. 1946), UNT’s extensive online repository features hundreds of rare performances, historic titles and materials, and curated multimedia content. Notably, the portal hosts the Peabody Award-winning NPR radio program “Jazz Profiles” from the late-1990s, preserved as a cornerstone of the Tim Owens Jazz & Broadcast Collection.
Through our partnership with the nonprofit Jazz Syndicate to help support their profoundly important resource, we’ve been posting favorite “Jazz Profiles” shows on our YouTube channel, Apple Podcasts and Spotify for the past two years. From Miles to Monk, Dizzy to Quincy, Bill to Billie, these popular audio programs number nearly 200 shows – so we created a special Jazz Profiles T-shirt to spread the word. To hear the shows and learn more, find us on YouTube.
